The Project includes the following Work: Modifications to both existing 1.5 million gallon (MG) and 0.5 MG reservoir overflow piping. Installation of approximately 825 linear feet of 18 inch buried ductile iron pipe. Abandoning the existing 1.5 MG reservoir overflow and coring a new overflow into the existing reservoir wall. Both overflow pipes will route to a concrete drain outfall. No Bid will be received unless a satisfactory Bid Bond in an amount no less than five percent (5%) of the Bid accompanies each Bid as a guarantee that if the Bid is accepted, the Bidder will execute and file the Agreement and a 100% Performance Bond and Payment Bond, within fifteen (15) days after the Notice of Award. In case the Bidder fails to file such contract and bond within the time set forth, the Bid Bond shall be forfeited to the City of Cudahy as liquidated damages. BID WITHDRAWAL: No Bid shall be withdrawn for a period of eighty-five (85) days after the Bid opening date without the consent of the City of Cudahy. BID REJECTION: The City of Cudahy reserves the right to accept any Bid most advantageous to the City, waive any technicality, or reject any or all Bids. All requests for interpretation must be received at least five business days prior to the day set for receiving Bids.
