Site work for a municipal facility in Ayer, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for site work for a municipal facility.
Scope of Work 1. Perform standard borings (conducted in accordance with ATM D1452 and D1586) at locations indicated on the attached drawings. a. Sample soils are to be provided at 5-ft increments (minimum) and at all changes in strata (per ASTM D1687). b. Classification of soils shall be done in accordance with ASTM D 2487. c. Store clay and silt samples in screw capped jars. d. Borings shall be taken to a depth of 15'-0" or refusal. e. Boring holes shall be filled upon the completion of borings in accordance with requirements by MassDOT (backfilled, compacted with granular materials, and brought to the grade of the adjacent surface with a minimum of 6 inches of hot mix asphalt (Superpave Intermediate Course 19.0 (SIC-19.0)) 2. Deliver to the Ayer DPW complete type-written boring logs, physical samples, and written observations and recommendations regarding soil conditions, including information on the water table.
