Construction work consists of milling and replacing pavement at Obey River Campground to address roadway and parking area damage caused by storms and high-water events. The project includes approximately 600 feet of roadway averaging 8-9 feet wide, widening portions of the road up to 11 feet total width, and a parking area approximately 150 feet by 170 feet, totaling about 4,250 square yards of pavement. Work includes removal and replacement of the top 2 inches of asphalt pavement with a leveling course, site preparation, application of tack coat, and performance of all paving in accordance with Tennessee Department of Transportation standards. The scope also includes replacement of curbing around the parking lot, installation of approximately 600 feet of curbing, replacement of one stormwater drain, removal of deteriorated wooden stanchions and cable, striping of parking areas for trailer and single-car spaces, and repair of shoulder damage. Limited base course repair or leveling may be required in localized areas prior to repaving.
