Site work and renovation of a mixed-use development in Fort Lawn, South Carolina. Completed plans call for the renovation of a playground / park / athletic field; and for site work for a playground / park / athletic field.
The project consists of historic stone masonry repairs at Landsford Canal State Park. The South Carolina Department of Parks, Recreation & Tourism (SCPRT) is seeking qualified vendors capable of carrying out repairs to stone masonry to the historic canal walls at the Davies Mill site at Landsford Canal State Park. These masonry features are part of the historic Landsford Canal (ca. 1820s) and are listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Work includes resetting loose and missing stone and repointing select areas of masonry on the tops of the canal retaining walls. There are six (6) priority areas that are included in this scope of work. LOCATION: Landsford Canal State Park 2051 Park Drive Catawba, SC 29704. The job shall be completed no later than June 30th, 2026. 1. Landsford Canal is a significant historic property. All work will be completed in such a way as to protect existing architectural features from damage. 2. Any removal or alteration of historic architectural features other than those listed in these specifications must be approved in advance by the SCPRT Representative. 3. If any condition exists that the contractor feels will adversely affect the acceptability of his or her work, then the contractor shall notify the SCPRT Representative in writing prior to commencing that portion of the work, stating conditions considered unsatisfactory and recommendations for rectifying the problems. Changes to the contracted Scope of Work (and contracted amount) can occur only if agreed to in writing by the SCPRT Representative and SCPRT's Contracting Officer. 4. Safety on the job is to be emphasized. Work shall comply with OSHA and other applicable safety regulations. Hazardous areas shall be delineated with hazard tape to prevent visitors from entering work area. Question Deadline 05/26/2026 at 12:00 PM ET
