Tuscola County is accepting bids for the demolition and removal of existing cabinets and the installation of new ones at the Tuscola County Health Department. The contractor is responsible for: demolition and removal of existing cabinets and countertop; installation of new cabinets and countertop (already purchased by the Health Department), including plumbing of the sink; obtaining all needed permits and drawings, and complying with all local, state, and federal codes; patching and repairing walls for new cabinets; priming repaired areas with at least two coats before painting; applying a minimum of two coats of latex paint to the entire wall where repairs are required; installing or replacing necessary VCT tile not under the removed cabinets; working Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm (with extra hours if needed); covering county equipment with tarps or plastic; being insured and providing liability and workers' comp insurance; verifying all measurements and scheduling with the county for cabinet review; providing all necessary materials and equipment; using only qualified personnel; daily cleaning of the job site; and completing the job within 4 weeks from the start date. The county will move the furniture. Sealed proposals labeled 'CABINET INSTALLATION' must be submitted to the Tuscola County Controller's office at 125 W. Lincoln St, Caro, MI 48723, by 4:00 pm on Friday, May 15th, 2026.
