Site work and paving for a civil project in Comber, Ontario. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
The contract involves the supply of all labour, equipment, and materials required to replace identified road crossing culverts as listed on Schedule A, mill the existing road surface to a depth of 60mm, export milled material to a Municipal location at the direction of the Manager of Public Works or their delegate or to an acceptable site at the contractor's expense (Schedule B), haul, grade, and compact granular “A” OPSS 1010 granular “A” (Schedule C), and apply a double lift of surface treatment (Schedule D). All Schedules A – D apply to items 1-3 in the attached Schedule of Roads and are shown on the appended Map of Road Sections. The contractor must complete all necessary utility locates prior to commencing work. All work must meet the satisfaction of the Manager of Public Works or their designate, in accordance with current surface treatment application standards and all other applicable OPS Standards. The Municipality may reduce or increase the specified quantities in this tender by up to 25% without penalties to unit prices, subject to budget constraints and Council approval.
