Weldon Middle School - Classroom Painting Work shall consist of furnishing all labor, materials, equipment and services, incidental and implied, for the classroom painting job. All items not specifically mentioned in the specifications, but which are obviously required to make the renovations complete, shall be included automatically. All bidders are required to have at least three years of experience and supply three references in this area if asked for them. The contractor shall be responsible for the construction site during performance of the work, all damages to persons and property, and must provide all necessary safety measures and comply with all applicable laws and regulations including OSHA 1910 and North Carolina Building Code. The contractor must hold the appropriate license, secure all required permits, deliver all certification of inspection, and pay all costs associated with Halifax County building permits. Security, safety, and protection of the instructional environment are priorities. The contractor shall confine activities to the work area, screen all on-site employees, and designate contact personnel with school staff. The contractor must submit a precise time schedule for work, and the Maintenance Director may alter the schedule. Employees must sign in and out at the main office, act professionally, and wear shirts while on Board property. One person on each site must speak fluent English. Bidders must adhere to rules regarding the Sex Offender and Public Protection Program.
