Bids are sought for the reroofing of the Administrative Office Building of the Northeast Georgia Housing Authority located in Toccoa, Georgia. Bids must be addressed to the Northeast Georgia Housing Authority and clearly marked as stated in the instructions to bidders. A certified check, bank draft, cashier's check, or bid bond in the amount of 5% of the bid is required for all bids exceeding $200,000. The successful bidder must provide satisfactory Performance and Payment Bonds in the full contract amount for contracts over $200,000. Bidders must be appropriately licensed in Georgia or be a qualified specialty contractor. Compliance with all applicable authorities, including requirements related to illegal immigration and the Federal E-Verify Program, is mandatory. A signed affidavit must be submitted with the Cost Proposal or sealed bids. Contractors must also comply with federal equal employment requirements and direct employment and other economic opportunities to low and very low income persons, especially those residing in the project area, as feasible.
