Renovation of a medical facility in Biloxi, Mississippi. Completed plans call for the renovation of a medical facility.
Sealed bids are invited for furnishing all labor and material, and performing all necessary work to construct the 3rd Floor New Cath Lab Renovation and the 1st Floor PETCT RM RA157 Renovation at Memorial Hospital Biloxi, in accordance with the drawings and project manual. This project will be completed as a Multiple Prime Contract Construction Manager Advisor (CMa) delivery method, with work divided among four prime contract bid packages: (1) General Works (ICRA, General Conditions, Select Demolition, Select Renovation, Fire Suppression, etc.), (2) Mechanical & Plumbing (Including Med Gases, etc.), and (3) Electrical (Including Low Voltage, Fire Alarm, etc.). Generally, the project consists of interior renovation and adaptive reuse of existing hospital space to construct a new PET/CT imaging suite with control room, equipment room, patient uptake rooms, and hot lab supporting spaces on the first floor, and two new Class 3 Cardiac Catheterization Laboratories with associated control rooms, equipment rooms, and support space on the third floor. Work includes selective demolition, new partitions, doors, finishes, and specialized construction for advanced medical imaging environments, including radiation shielding, structural support for imaging equipment, and installation of healthcare-grade architectural components. The project requires coordination for owner-furnished imaging systems, comprehensive MEP modifications, removal and replacement of an air handler unit with temporary installation to maintain continuous HVAC operation, all within an active, occupied healthcare facility with strict adherence to Infection Control Risk Assessment (ICRA) protocols. Contractors must demonstrate recent healthcare construction experience and the ability to work in restricted clinical environments. All work shall be complete with labor, materials, equipment, supervision, and coordination as indicated in the contract documents. Bid instructions require sealed and clearly marked submissions, compliance with Mississippi law for Certificate of Responsibility, security deposit, performance and payment bonds, adherence to state preference laws, and nondiscrimination policy. No bid may be withdrawn within sixty days of opening, and the owner reserves the right to waive informalities or reject bids.
