Demolition and site work for a residential development in Whitesburg, Kentucky. Completed plans call for the demolition of a residential development.
Contractor is responsible for furnishing, erecting, and maintaining approved danger, warning, and “Keep Out” signs at the property as directed, confirming and documenting utility disconnections, and providing a 6’ high temporary fence when demolition occurs within 5’ of the street lot line. The contractor must abide by all safety regulations, not overload structures, provide debris-free walkways and passageways with adequate lighting, and establish procedures to prevent damage to public or private property. Contractor must arrange for permits, temporary water for dust control, removal of non-native landscaping, and stripping of all structures of residual furniture, household contents, and appurtenant utility fixtures prior to demolition. Demolition of all structures, including outbuildings, must prevent hazards to adjacent properties, with all debris removed to the landfill or recycling, and proper documentation of disposal required. Contractor is to manage utilities, remove and dispose of propane tanks, and process septic systems per regulations. No explosives or burning are permitted. All work is to be confined within lot lines, and demolition must follow all regulatory requirements. The site must be cleaned, all disturbed areas restored, and all bare ground prepared for seeding and mulching. The contractor is responsible for all disposal and transportation costs, must submit required pictures and documentation, and perform all work with their employees, following all applicable local, state, and federal codes and regulations. All awarded work is subject to scheduling and inspection requirements, and damage to surrounding properties must be repaired by the contractor.
