The CS elevator has been in service for about thirty years. Despite a maintenance program, several components show advanced wear and some are nearing the end of their useful life. This lift is used for both vertical transport of people and goods, being the only lift serving the CS pavilion. The work includes, but is not limited to, the replacement of the following components: braking system, motor, speed control, emergency brakes, suspension cables, transformer, variable frequency and voltage drive system, and other equipment described in section 14 22 25 of the Performance Quote. The contract also includes the recovery of certain existing equipment and its reinstallation, as well as various cleaning and maintenance interventions. The elevator may not be stopped during the business hours of the Sports Center, from 7:30 a.m. to 11 p.m., except during the construction period from November 9, 2026, to January 8, 2027. The Contractor will then have unlimited access to the elevator and will be able to manage the shutdowns according to the needs of the site. The Contractor is informed that he must vacate the premises no later than January 8, 2027. Meeting the deadline is a critical element of this contract. No delay will be tolerated, the date of 8 January corresponding to the mobilization of another site in this sector. Work starting on January 8, 2028 requires immediate use of the elevator. It must therefore be fully functional by that date. A maintenance period of 12 months from final acceptance is requested and must be included in the total bid price. Tenders must be accompanied by a tender bond issued by a financial institution, as defined in section 12 of the Regulation respecting construction contracts of public bodies (CQLR, c. C-65.1, r.3) and established at 10% of the value of the Submission valid for a period of forty-five (45) days from the date of opening of the Submissions.
