The Carlton Soil and Water Conservation District (hereinafter, the "Funding Agency") is soliciting Bids for the Hay Creek Culvert Crossing (hereinafter, the "Project"), which includes: DESCRIPTION OF BID WORK ITEMS Work to replace an undersized culvert under a private driveway adjacent to Canosia Road with a 20' 6" x 7' 3" single span aluminum box culvert, as well as an adjacent 35"x24" corrugated aluminized steel pipe arch. The Work entails removal and disposal of existing structures, temporary stream diversion, and installation of aggregate culvert footings and rip rap stream bed material. The Project is being constructed on property owned by Jeanette Compo and Joshua Ritchie. This Project is made possible by grants provided by the State of Minnesota and the Board of Water and Soil Resources. The Funding Agency will be the main point of contact for contracting-related questions. The mission of the Carlton Soil and Water Conservation District is to provide technical, educational, and financial resources to land occupiers in order to implement practices and projects that preserve, protect, and enhance water quality and other natural resources. These services are provided by professional staff or by the professionals under contract with the District. Bid Bond, Performance and Payment Bonds and Prevailing Wages apply to this Project. In addition, the provisions of Minn. Stat. 16C.285 Responsible Contractor also apply - all bidders submitting a Bid shall comply with the provisions of the statute. Bids will be received for a single prime Contract and shall be on a Unit Price basis. Bid Security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid shall be submitted with each bid. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of thirty (30) days after bid opening without written consent of the Funding Agency. The Bid will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder 45 days after the bids are received and verified or until state and federal permits are obtained. The Funding Agency reserves the right to reject all bids submitted. This Project is made possible through grants provided by the State of Minnesota and the Board of Water and Soil Resources.
