Addition to an educational facility in Fulton, Illinois. Completed plans call for the addition of a 19,166-square-foot educational facility.
Sealed bids are invited for the construction of a new gymnasium addition at River Bend Middle School, located at 415 12th St., Fulton, IL 61252. Bid documents, including plans and specifications, will be available beginning May 20, 2026. All work shall be subject to the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act. The successful bidder will be required to provide performance and payment bonds in accordance with Illinois law. The River Bend School District reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities in the bidding process. All questions/RFI's can be submitted by e-mail to Luis Beita Lbeita@veregy.com. RFI's will be accepted, reviewed, and processed from May 20th through May 27 th, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. This cut-off will guarantee a response before bids are due. The new building addition is approximately 19,000 square feet and will have a two-in-one court gymnasium design serving basketball and volleyball. The addition will also include two (2) public washrooms, two (2) locker rooms, a fitness room, concessions stand, mechanical rooms, and storage rooms. The new addition will connect to the main building via one existing main hallway. Three (3) sets of volleyball floor sleeves will be included, one per court. Each basketball court will have 2 goals, total six (6). There will be a retractable athletic curtain hoisted from the roof structure, and a retractable bleacher system for approximately 530 seats and 7 ADA spaces.
