Howard County Economic Development Authority is advancing the long-range redevelopment of the Gateway Innovation District, a major mixed-use growth area located near Routes 95 and 175 between Baltimore and Washington, D.C. The district plan targets up to 8,400 new housing units, 8,100 new jobs, 1–1.8 million square feet of office and innovation/flex space, and approximately 312,000 square feet of retail and restaurant uses. The initiative is positioned near major federal and institutional anchors and is intended to attract high-growth technology, cybersecurity, and research-driven employers through phased public-private development and infrastructure investment. This project is part of the Howard County Economic Development Authority long-range redevelopment. As of May 12, 2026, information regarding design firm, construction manager, developer, and general contractor has not been released. Further details regarding construction and completion timelines have not been identified.
