The Projects provide for roadway improvements on Hickman Creek Dr & Horseshoe Way Loop, totaling approximately 7,585 linear feet of roadway; Lilley Yeager Loop S, totaling approximately 9,984 linear feet of roadway; and Lakeview Estates Rd, totaling approximately 10,720 linear feet of roadway. Bids are for several items and quantity of work as follows: 1. Mobilization 2. Subgrade improvements including pulverizing, regrading, shaping and compacting 3. Stabilization of existing subgrade 4. Addition of flexible base 5. Construction of asphaltic paving 6. Driveway and intersection turnout improvements 7. Culvert replacement 8. Ditch re-grading 9. Shoulder reconstruction 10. Erosion and sediment controls 11. Traffic control & signage A bid bond in the amount of 5 percent of the bid issued by an acceptable surety shall be submitted with each bid. A certified check or bank draft payable to San Jacinto County, Texas or negotiable U.S. Government Bonds (as par value) may be submitted in lieu of the Bid Bond. This project will be financed with assistance from the General Land Office (GLO) under the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development Community Development Block Grant - Mitigation (CDBG-MIT) program and is subject to all applicable Federal and State laws and regulations. Attention is called to the fact that not less than the federally determined prevailing (Davis-Bacon and Related Acts) wage rate, as issued by the Department of Labor and contained in the contract documents, must be paid on this project. In addition, the successful bidder must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of race, color, religion, sex, sexual identity, gender identity, or national origin. Bids may be held by San Jacinto County, Texas for a period not to exceed 60 days from the date of the bid opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the bidder's qualifications prior to the contract award. San Jacinto County, Texas reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to accept any bid in whole or in part, to award individual bid packages separately or in any combination deemed advantageous to the County, and to waive any minor informalities or irregularities in the bidding process, all as determined to be in the best interest of the County.
