Site work and new construction of a power facility in Estancia, New Mexico. Conceptual plans call for the construction of a power facility.

The New Mexico State Land Office has approved a large-scale renewable energy development consisting of a 212-megawatt wind farm planned for Torrance County, east of the Sandia Mountains. The project will occupy more than 10,000 acres of state trust land leased to a private developer and is intended to significantly expand New Mexico's utility-scale wind generation capacity. The development supports the state's long-term clean energy goals while generating lease revenue from public lands for beneficiaries such as education.
