Site work and new construction of a fire / police facility in Waterbury, Connecticut. Completed plans call civil work for a fire station.
The WDC has proposed that Fire Station 5 be located and constructed on approximately 59,528 square feet (or 1.37 acres) portion of the Rotella Magnet School property located on Pierpont Road in Waterbury, CT. The existing Station 5 located on East Main Street has undergone an assessment whereas renovation costs may not be the best use of resources when compared to the cost of a new station. This includes the Design Phase, Bidding Phase, and Construction Administration Services including any additional necessary associated services for that new station. There will be a Mandatory Information Session with respect to this RFP for new Station 5 in the lobby of Rotella Magnet School. Those not attending the session will not be eligible to submit a proposal. (25% of the total state funded value with DAS-certified Small Businesses and 6.25% of the total statefunded value with DAS-certified Minority-, Women-, and/or Disabled-owned Businesses.)
