Construction of a new 9,000 square foot aircraft apron, including earthwork, installing drainage structures, aggregate base, and concrete paving. Sealed bids are to be submitted and addressed to the specified authority. Contractors must be licensed under LA R.S. 37:2150-2164 in either Highway, Street and Bridge Construction or Building Construction. Bidders must list their license number on the bid and the sealed envelope. The signature must be that of an authorized representative as defined by Louisiana Public Bid Law. All required Certificates of Liability Insurance must list the Owner as additionally insured. Bid security of at least five percent (5%) of the total bid price is required. Sureties for bonds must be acceptable under U.S. Department of Treasury Circular 570. The project is subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws and is funded by federal and state grants. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids for just cause. All instructions and requirements in the bidding documents must be followed, including adherence to the Buy American provision under 49 USC 50101, nondiscrimination, and other federal contract requirements. Every request for such interpretations shall be in writing addressed to Digital Engineering & Imaging, Inc. 527 W. Esplanade Ave., Kenner, LA 70065. and to be given consideration must be received at least five (5) days prior to the date fixed for the BID OPENING.
