This project implements restoration plans and strategies to reduce sand transport into the Sunrise Waterway navigation channel and restore the Port Charlotte Beach Park's sandy shoreline. The project includes installation of floating breakwaters, living shoreline structure under the fishing Dier, and sand trap. Channels adjacent to the Sunrise Waterway will be dredged, sand will be placed on the beach area. The project is included in the County 2026-2031 Capital Improvement Program (CIP).
