Sealed bids are being accepted for the removal of an epoxy floor covering, floor preparation, installation and application of a new epoxy floor covering totaling approximately 3,680 square feet within various locations of Fischer Field Stadium. Areas include two locker rooms and four bathrooms. Proposals must be submitted using the Bid Form provided. Each envelope containing a bid must be plainly marked on the outside as Bid for Flooring Fischer Field Stadium (May 2026) and should bear the name and address of the bidder. If mailed, the bid envelope must be enclosed in another envelope addressed to City of Newton Engineering, PO Box 426, Newton, Kansas 67114. The City of Newton reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any technicality, informality or irregularity in the bids received. The City further reserves the right to award a contract to the vendor whose offer best meets the requirements herein set forth, in the best interests of the City. The intent of these specifications is to provide defined items to complete removal of existing epoxy coating , floor preparation , potential repairs , installation , and application of a new epoxy covering to include a grip additive . This service is vital to the process of providing suitable and accommodating facilities to scholastic athletic teams and to the communities served by this facility . It is further the intent of these specifications to obtain the services of a suitable firm to perform these services . All work associated with these tasks shall be made in a neat and workmanlike manner and all equipment furnished shall be subject to the approval of the Engineer . Time is a factor in this project all work must be completed by August 1, 2026 .
