Site work and paving for a civil project in Thunder Bay, Ontario. Conceptual plans call for site work for a water / sewer project; and for paving for a road / highway.
Linear and Stormwater Management Works for the City’s Central Avenue Development Lands. Approximately 3.2km of new sanitary sewers and associated service connections; Approximately 2.6km of new water main and associated service connections; approximately 26 kilometers of new storm sewer and associated service connections including the provision of new upgraded overland flow routes and from two to four new storm water management quality and slash or quantity control facilities; Approximately 1km of upgrades to the existing local roads including paving, lighting, drainage and sidewalks; approximately 2.6 kilometers of new local road construction to an urban standard; approximately 2km of new multi use trails along existing road corridors and new road corridors; multiple intersection improvements; and widening of the Central Avenue structural culvert over the McIntyre River. TIMELINE: The City of Thunder Bay, Engineering Section, invites Proposals from qualified Civil Engineering firms for the completion of Detailed Civil Engineering Design. Funding agreement requires all capital works to be compelted by March 31, 2029. Updates will be made upon award of contract. Question Deadline: May 21, 2026 at 12:00 pm. *8.64 million from the Housing-Enabling Core Services Fund has been approved.
