The Public Utilities Department is seeking an integration and automation company to upgrade the current SCADA systems at the water treatment plant, remote water storage sites, and three water reclamation facilities. The current SCADA systems use GE's platform i-Fix, which has not been upgraded in at least seven years. The project will include installation, programming, and integration of programmable logic controls (PLC) and human machine interfaces (HMI) at different locations. The main deliverables are a functional new SCADA platform with new equipment, and continuous, uninterrupted operation of the current SCADA system during service.
