Renovation of a mixed-use development in Victoria, Virginia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility; and educational facility.
Window replacements at two schools: Victoria Elementary and Central High. See solicitation documents for optional prebid/proposal conference/site visit. Question Deadline 05/26/2026 at 4:30 PM ET If any person contemplating the submission of a bid for the proposed Contract is in doubt as to the true meaning of any part of the specifications or other proposed contract documents, he/she may submit a written request to Pre-bid questions can be submitted to the Facilities Director email paul.caley@k12lcps.org. CENTRAL HIGH SCHOOL 1. Replacement of specific windows per Lunenburg County Public Schools directive. 2. Include demo and disposal of windows and construction related materials. 3. Provide Add Alternate for Abatement, Demo, and Disposal if any existing materials are confirmed to contain asbestos or lead paint (Owner to provide test reports prior to bid award). 4. Furnish and install aluminum windows, glass, glazing, flange expanders, structural mullions, interior finish trims and anchor clips. Note: Aluminum embossed, double-faced aluminum panels to be furnished and installed at top half of all windows. 5. Provide and Install aluminum blank off panel and PTAC louvers at required locations (Note: blank off panels to be factory fabricated to match existing PTAC requirements as well as louver to meet PTAC airflow requirements). 6. Provide and install all exterior and interior finish caulking for windows and trims. 7. Contractor responsible for removing all ceiling grids and tiles affecting window installation. These must be reinstalled using existing materials and will need to be properly fitted to new window and trim. 8. Provide and install all required brake metal flashings or trims. 9. Contractor to provide a one-time final cleaning of interior and exterior glass and framing upon completion of each new window. 10. Provide and install egress windows with egress hardware at all classroom locations as required to meet life safety code. 11. Contractor to provide any and all equipment required to complete window demo and installation. 12. Contractor to provide full submittal shop drawings that include detailing of all windows and installation as well as floor plans and all product data for a complete submittal for approval prior to order and release of materials. Contractor also must provide a final field shop drawing for Owner's record. 13. Demo and installation of new windows must be accomplished each day. No more than (2) ea. window openings will be allowed to be temporarily boarded up overnight. All demo and installation must be coordinated and scheduled weekly and approved by facility manager and school principal. 14. Contractor is responsible for storage containers to be placed onsite for storing of all new materials for project (No materials to be stored inside the facility). 15. All windows, glass, glazing, panels, PTAC louvers must be selected from the approved list of manufacturers per the specifications and bid documents. No substitutions allowed. Documents to be provided at pre-bid or online. Link provided by Lunenburg County Public Schools. 16. All bids must include a bid bond and performance and payment bond. 17. All contractor employees must provide Lunenburg County Public Schools approved background checks, drug screening, and be properly badged while on school property prior to start of project. 18. Contractors to abide by and follow all Virginia OSHA safety requirements. 19. All contractors must provide proof and copies of contractor's licensing for the state of Virginia, and any local business licensing as required. 20. Contractors must provide and meet all Lunenburg County Public Schools insurance requirements. VICTORIA ELEMENTARY SCHOOL 1. Replacement of specific windows per Lunenburg CountyPublic School's directive. 2. Include demo and disposal of windows and construction related materials. 3. Demo and disposal of existing EIFS/Stucco infill panels and framing and associated drywall and framing. All structural support-framing to remain in place and to be incorporated into the new window design. Existing structural framing to be covered, insulated, and finished to match new window system. 5. Furnish and install aluminum windows, glass, glazing, flange expanders, structural mullions, interior finish trims and anchor clips.
