Conceptual plans call for the addition of a medical facility; for the demolition of a medical facility; for the construction of a medical facility; for the renovation of a medical facility; and for site work for a medical facility.

Provide professional Architect and Engineering services for the assessment, design, and replacement of the Building One General Exhaust HVAC system. Services include comprehensive site investigations; architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, and environmental engineering; development of complete, coordinated construction drawings and specifications; third-party cost estimates; infection control risk assessments; sustainable design and energy reduction analysis; asbestos and lead-based paint evaluation and abatement design; and full construction period services. The A/E shall evaluate existing exhaust systems, clean and assess serviceable ductwork, design new and modified exhaust systems, correct fire and life safety deficiencies, coordinate construction phasing to maintain uninterrupted hospital operations, and incorporate VA design guides, Unified Facilities Criteria, NFPA, OSHA, EPA, and all applicable federal and state codes. The scope also includes preparation of bid and contract documents, deduct alternates, fire and life safety peer review coordination, construction waste management requirements, and preparation of as-built drawings. All services shall be performed in accordance with VA Program Guide PG-18-15 and VA Technical Information Library requirements to deliver a complete, biddable, and constructible design package.
