The project involves plumbing construction for the Freeport Police Department extension. Project Summary: A SECOND STORY EXPANSION OF THE EXISTING 2 STORY FREEPORT POLICE DEPARTMENT FACILITY TO CREATE A NEW EMERGENCY RESPONSE CENTER INCLUDING A WORK SPACE, TWO NEW OFFICES AND AN EMERGENCY RESPONSE CONFERENCE ROOM. THE EXISTING SECOND FLOOR AREA WILL BE RENOVATED TO INCLUDE NEW FINISHES AND AN UPDATED LAYOUT, A NEW PANTRY AND A RESTROOM. THE SECOND STORY ADDITION WILL BE ABOVE THE EXISTING PARKING AND INMATE TRANSFER AREA. THE PARKING AREA WILL RECEIVE A NEW GATE, NEW PARKING GARAGE ENCLOSURE AND A MORE SECURE STORAGE AREA. The project calls for plumbing construction for a second floor addition to the Village of Freeport Police Department as well as modifications to the existing building. Each bid must be accompanied by a bidder's bond in the amount of not less than five (5%) percent of the bid insuring to the benefit of the Village of Freeport, or a certified check of not less than five (5%) percent of the bid, made payable to the Village of Freeport, to assure the entering of the successful bidder into an acceptable contract. The Board reserves the right to reject any or all bid proposals received and subject to these reservations, shall award the contract to the lowest qualified and responsible bidder. Bids which, in the opinion of the Board, are unbalanced shall be rejected. In submitting a bid, bidders agree not to withdraw their bid within forty-five (45) days after the date for the opening thereof.
