Renovation of a municipal facility in New York, New York. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK A. Extent of Work Removal and demolition of selected items from selected areas of the building as indicated on the Drawings; items to be removed include, but are not limited to, the following: 1. B. Recycling and disposal of non-hazardous waste shall be performed in accordance with Section S01524 - Construction Waste Management. 1.02 SUSTAINABILITY REQUIREMENTS A. Sustainability requirements included in the Section are as follows: 1. Refrigerant recovery requirements. 2. Demolition waste management. 3. Management of dust and particulate matter. B. The Contractor shall implement practices and procedures to meet the Project's sustainable requirements. The Contractor shall ensure that the requirements related to these goals, as defined in Specification Requirements, and as specified in this Section, are implemented to the fullest extent. Substitutions or other changes to the work shall not be proposed by the Contractor or their sub-contractors if such changes compromise the stated Sustainable Design Performance Final Completion -- 780 continuous calendar days Question Deadline 05/27/2026 All questions by prospective bidders concerning this solicitation should be directed to rfisca@nycsca.org, in writing at least three (3) business days prior to the originally scheduled Removal of handrails in an exit stair or ramp within the work area; Removal or dismantling of any fire alarm system component including any fire alarm-initiating device (e.g., smoke detectors, manual pull station) within the work area; Removal or dismantling of any exit sign or any component of the exit lighting system, including photo luminescent exit path markings within the work area; Removal or dismantling of any part of a sprinkler system including piping or sprinkler heads within the work area; Removal or dismantling of any part of a standpipe system including fire pumps or valves within the work area; Any abatement activities to be performed within a building concurrently with the full demolition of such building or concurrently with the removal of one or more stories of such building. Removal of any non-load bearing/non-fire-rated wall (greater than 45 square feet or 50 per cent of a given wall); Removal of any fire-resistance rated portions of a wall, ceiling, floor, door, corridor, partition, or structural element enclosure including spray-on fire- resistance rated materials within the work area;
