Sealed bids are requested for the Carlyss Drive Bridge Replacement Project in Calcasieu Parish, Louisiana, identified as Project No. 26-302-0004. All bidding and bid submissions must be conducted electronically through the designated online platform, with the installation of the InfoTech Express Sign Tool and generation of an InfoTech Digital ID required for bidders. No paper bids will be accepted. Bidders are encouraged to familiarize themselves with the electronic bidding service prior to the bid deadline. Preference is given to materials, supplies, and provisions that are produced, manufactured, or grown in Louisiana, provided quality is equal to out-of-state offerings. Bids must include bid security equal to five percent (5%) of the base bid and all alternates, submitted in the form of an electronic bid bond from an approved surety or insurance company. The successful bidder must furnish a Performance and Payment Bond, each amounting to 100% of the contract, from an approved surety or insurance company. Bids are accepted only from contractors licensed for "Highway, Street, and Bridge Construction." Bids cannot be withdrawn for forty-five (45) days following receipt. The owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids for just cause and only in accordance with the Public Bid Law. No official obligation is incurred by the Parish until the contract is fully executed.
