Lump Sum bids are requested for the demolition of one building located at 74 Market Street in Vanceburg, Kentucky. The scope of work includes building demolition, concrete pavement demolition, and site utilities demolition. Refer to the Demolition Survey for asbestos and hazardous materials. Bids must be submitted on provided forms in sealed envelopes marked with the project name, contractor's name, and date. Bid bonds at 5% and performance/payment bonds at 100% of the contract value are required. All contractors and subcontractors must comply with Kentucky statutes for Worker's Compensation and Unemployment Insurance. Minority business participation is encouraged. Bids are awarded based on the best evaluated proposal, not necessarily the lowest, and may be rejected or accepted at the owner's discretion. Bidders are encouraged to review the contract documents and visit the site. The intent of this project is to remove the existing building in their entirety including below grade foundations and utility structures, grade the property with new clean fill so as to not allow for ponding of water. Owner intends to build a parking lot on the property in the near future.
