Demolition and site work for a water / sewer project in Wallaceburg, Ontario. Completed plans call civil work for a water tank for rehabilitation.
Decommissioning of the existing septic holding tank for the brick-and-mortar building in full compliance with all applicable environmental regulations, performing environmental testing. Demolish the existing enclosure fence and reconstruct a new fence. Temporarily relocate the generator. Conduct Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) scanning to locate the septic tank. Perform utility locates and scans. Excavate soil to expose the septic tank and surrounding structure. Install shoring systems to stabilize and prevent collapse of the building’s east wall. Carry out environmental soil testing. Implement environmental protection measures. Remove contaminated materials from within the septic tank. Mobilize a crane and safely extract the existing septic tank. Transport the tank to a designated landfill for environmental waste.
