Site work and new construction of a fire / police facility in Lagrange, Georgia. Completed plans call for the construction of a fire / police facility; and for site work for a fire / police facility.
Furnish all services, labor, equipment, and materials for the entire scope of work, including: providing five one-trip, 40-foot length containers with exterior paint color chosen by the Department in a Double T Layout Design; constructing two containers designed inside and out for structural fire burns with staircases and handrails; clearing and removal of concrete from the current structure; site preparation for new containers; and painting of the old building to match the new one. Proposals must include a completed proposal form, a 5% bid bond, a detailed project proposal demonstrating compliance with the scope of work, contractor qualifications, and a written warranty covering all labor, installation, and workmanship. The project must be substantially complete in ninety consecutive calendar days. Bidders must be licensed, insured, and qualified, and provide all necessary forms as specified. All requests for clarification must be made via email only. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive technicalities and informalities. Award will be based on qualifications and value to Troup County. . Question Deadline 06/16/2026 All requests for clarification and/or additional information must be made via email ONLY to Ramona Gillham, Troup County Purchasing Director, at rgillham@troupcountyga.gov. No phone calls or contacts other than email are allowed. o General Contractor shall be licensed and insured with the State of Georgia. o Provide and install all required/necessary materials, supplies, labor, equipment, machinery, etc. for the construction project, per the scope of work. o Submit a detailed project proposal to include the following: proposed construction drawings, proposed construction specifications, proposed construction schedule, a copy of all manufacturers' product warranties, and the contractor's warranty covering all labor, installation, and workmanship. o Submit a final set of detailed construction drawings for review and approval, prior to construction. o Submit a final set of construction specifications, materials, and product information for review and approval, prior to construction. o Troup County (Owner) will obtain all required Permits. o Troup County (Owner) will pay for all required Permits. o See attached Site Plan for jobsite location (2495 Hamilton Road, LaGrange, Ga 3241). o The existing structure is a pre-engineered steel Burn Building. o General Contractor shall provide all temporary utilities and facilities during construction. o Site preparation grading. o Purchase and install five Conex containers. o Two containers shall be rated for NFPA 1403 Live fire Burns with wood floors covered with paver stones and grouted. o Paint containers. o Connect new containers to the existing structure through the old burn room. o Three steel doors. 2" x 2" square tubular frame. Primed and painted with oil-based Rustoleum o Five 36 " x 36" steel windows outward swinging, 2" x 2" steel construction. 2" x 2" steel frame with latch operable from interior and exterior. Primed and painted with oil based rustoleum o One exterior steel staircase with handrail: ground to level two. o One Smoke pot piped to the second floor. o One survival breach wall located on the first floor. o Safety railings and decking installed where required. o Sand and paint the existing burn building to match the new one. o Troup County (Owner) will provide all utilities (pre-existing) to the jobsite. o All work shall be coordinated with Troup County Staff. o Comply with all applicable Building Codes, National Electric Codes, National Energy Codes, Fire Life Safety Codes, and ADA Handicap Accessibility Codes. o Provide a copy of all manufacturers' product warranties and the contractor's written warranty covering all labor, installation, and workmanship. o Clean-up & dispose of all construction debris and/or trash, according to Local/State/Federal regulations. o Protect surrounding areas from damage & debris. o Submit a Quote/Bid Proposal to include all required/necessary materials, supplies, labor, equipment, machinery, etc. for the complete construction project, per the scope of work.
