Reference Number 0000423098 Colorado Springs Utilities is requesting proposals from qualified Respondents with demonstrated experience in long-term water rights, raw water conveyance and storage, electrical rates and pumping power costs, water treatment, and finished water distribution. The selected Respondent shall provide professional engineering services as described below: 1. Identify and quantify both the variable operational and variable capital costs in delivering water from source to customer tap for multiple delivery alternatives. 2. Develop a spreadsheet-based tool (or alternate easy-to-implement option) to calculate variable operational costs, for Utilities use following completion of the work. Utilities intends to use the tool in ongoing internal evaluations. 3. The work will inform future analyses and capital budget prioritization decisions related to the delivery alternatives. The delivery alternatives will help to quantify the major barriers and costs to fully treat all locally available water supplies and will enable comparison of alternative configurations.
