Sealed bids will be received for furnishing Preformed Thermoplastic Pavement Markings, in accordance with the contract documents available at the Town Clerk’s Office. Each proposal must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid. Bid security will be returned to all but the three lowest bidders within forty-eight hours after the bids have been opened. The three lowest bidders’ security will be returned after the contract is executed and the required performance bond and insurance are provided. The successful bidder, upon failure or refusal to execute and deliver the contract and bond within ten days after notice of acceptance, will forfeit the bid security. Attorneys in fact signing bid bonds or contract bonds must file a certified copy of their Power of Attorney. No proposals will be accepted by facsimile. The Town Board reserves the right to waive informalities and reject any or all bids. No contract is created until approved by Town Board resolution, Town Attorney, and executed by the Supervisor as directed by the Town Board.
