Site work for a sidewalk / parking lot in Birmingham, Alabama. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot.
Sealed bids are requested for the construction of a sidewalk on Brookwood Road, consisting of approximately 1300 feet. The main work items include sidewalks, curb and gutter, driveways, drainage, and grading. The estimated cost is $850,000. Bidders must be licensed by the State of Alabama Licensing Board of General Contractors. All bids must be submitted in sealed envelopes with a bid bond of five percent of the bid amount. Performance and Payment Bonds covering the full contract sum are required for the successful bidder. The City of Mountain Brook may reject any or all bids or waive any informality in the bidding process, awarding the contract to a responsive contractor who meets minimum qualifications and submits the lowest responsible bid.
