This is a request for proposals for the design, supply, and installation of solar arrays on selected municipal buildings. The work involves delivering turnkey solar photovoltaic (PV) installations, including detailed design, equipment supply, installation, commissioning, and post-installation activities to support sustainability goals and reduce energy costs. The selected proponent will collaborate with the City and its consultants to optimize system sizing, ensure structural suitability, and maximize community value and energy performance. Products and services provided will be detailed in design and contract documents, with construction anticipated to commence in 2026. The City of Dawson Creek has identified the opportunity to implement solar PV installations across selected municipal buildings to support sustainability goals and reduce energy costs. In 2024, a preliminary assessment was completed, including a review of potential sites and input from community stakeholders. The City has prioritized two locations based on energy usage, structural suitability, community value, and solar potential. With initial site selection and project planning complete, the City now wishes to proceed with the detailed design, supply, and installation of solar PV.
