The project is for the Wilkes-Barre Housing Authority East End Towers Pave Project. Bidders and Sub-Bidders, such as subcontractors and materialmen, may obtain contract documents for a non-refundable fee. Prospective contractors are urged to visit the site to familiarize themselves with the site conditions and review the scope of work and construction documents. All bids must be accompanied by a certified check or Bid Bond in an amount not less than ten percent of the bid as a guarantee. The successful bidder is required to execute the agreement within ten days after the Notice of Award and, within three days following execution, deliver a Performance Bond and Payment Bond, each in the amount of 100% of the contract sum, along with a Certificate of Insurance. Attention is called to Equal Employment Opportunity provisions and payment of not less than the minimum salaries and wages set forth in the contract documents. Contractors and subcontractors must adhere to Section 3 of the Housing and Urban Development Act of 1968 as amended. The successful bidder must pay all required taxes and obtain all applicable construction licenses and permits. Liquidated damages of $200.00 per consecutive calendar day will be assessed for delays beyond the contract deadline. The contract time is 60 consecutive calendar days from the Notice to Proceed.
