The work consists of providing hazardous material abatement and wall and wall finish demolition, including complete wall removal in room 100, wall paneling and adhesive, gypboard and texture, markerboards, chalkboards, and tackboards, adhesive, casework varnish and stain finish, casework hardware, surface-mounted data and electrical raceways and devices, televisions and associated parts, and air filters. The scope also includes providing new wall paneling trim, patching and repairing holes in interior gypboard and plaster walls, refinishing walls to match existing, staining and refinishing casework, painting walls, ceilings, doors, and frames, and painting all room trim. Installation of owner-furnished markerboards and tackboards, as well as revisions to surface-mount data, electrical raceways, and devices, are required. Bids must be submitted electronically via the designated online portal until the specified deadline. All bids should be on the provided form and conform to all contract documents, including the instructions. Bidders must possess a valid and active State of California Contractor License B at the time of bid opening and throughout the contract. Each bid must include a bid bond, cash, or certified/cashier's check for ten percent (10%) of the bid amount as bid security. The successful bidder must provide a 100% Performance Bond and 100% Payment Bond upon award. Bidders and their subcontractors must pay prevailing wages and comply with registration and qualification requirements. The District requires a 5% retention. Attendance at the mandatory pre-bid site visit is required; failure to attend will render the bid ineligible. The District reserves the right to reject any or all bids, and bids may not be withdrawn for ninety days after opening.
