Site work for a municipal facility in Hopkinton, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for site work for a municipal facility.
The Town of Hopkinton is seeking qualified contractors to extend the existing Town Common irrigation system to service three additional areas: The bump-out at the corner of Hayden Rowe Street and Marathon Way ("Bump Out") The grass strip between the granite edge on the north side of the Common and the sidewalk between Ash Street and Hayden Rowe Street ("Grass Strip") Doughboy Island across Marathon Way from the Common ("Doughboy Island") The contractor shall connect to the existing irrigation system using Hunter brand products for compatibility. The existing controller (25 active zones serving 78 heads and one fountain) will need to be expanded and programmed to support new zones. All existing zones are full. The contractor shall bore beneath the sidewalk to access the Bump Out and utilize existing conduits beneath Marathon Way to access Doughboy Island. Conduits shall be located and exposed by the contractor. The contractor shall install one (1) above ground hose spigot on Doughboy Island. This project is subject to prevailing wage requirements. Quantities are provided for general reference only and are not guaranteed. The contractor shall determine actual quantities and provide a lump sum price for all labor, materials, and equipment required. Install approximately six (6) new zones Install approximately six (6) new Hunter zone valves Install approximately thirty-five (35) Hunter Pro sprays with MP rotator nozzles Install approximately fifteen (15) Hunter I-20 Rotors Install one (1) above ground hose spigot on Doughboy Island Bore under sidewalk to the Bump Out Utilize existing conduits under Marathon Way Connect to the existing irrigation controller and electrical pannel Extend power and control wiring Expand and program controller to incorporate all new zones The contractor shall restore all disturbed areas to equal or better condition, including regrading, loam, and seeding.
