As of June 12, 2026, project is awarded to Hooten Equipment in the amount of $64,598.85. The work includes providing all labor, material, equipment, supplies, and transportation required to install a new walk-in freezer/cooler combo at Montcalm Elementary School. Bidders are required to meet all detailed requirements specified in the bid package. Demolition of the existing unit. Supply and install one new walk-in cooler/freezer at Montcalm Elementary School. 3.1. The new cooler/freezer is to measure 8' x 20'. Freezer portion to be 10' and cooler portion to be 10'. 3.2. Placement of the outside condensing unit will be discussed at the pre-bid. 3.3. Contractor must also supply and install Channel Manufacturing, Inc., or comparable, NSF-certified rust-proof wire-coated shelving. Contractor shall configure and install shelving to maximize available storage with the space configuration of the freezer/cooler unit. 3.4. Electrical requirements for the unit are 208/230V, 3-phase. All new circuits, wiring, and conduit are to be installed, along with adding a new 30-amp non-fused circuit with an electrical whip to connect the unit to new disconnects. Install new lights along with a 120-volt receptacle needed for the heat tape to allow for proper condensate drainage to the box exterior. 3.5. Door ramp for ease of entry. Non-slip strips on the anterior floor for safety. 3.6. The required warranty on the compressor is a total of five years. Bidders will be given one week from the day of the pre-bid to ask questions. On May 29, 2026, an addendum will be issued and will include pre-bid discussions and decisions, answers to any additional questions, and a copy of the prebid sign-in sheet.
