Description

Remodeling of a municipal facility in Chicago, Illinois. Completed plans call for the remodel of a municipal facility.

The work consists of interior flooring improvements within an existing facility, including selective removal of existing broadloom carpet and resilient flooring; preparation of concrete substrates; and installation of new carpet tile and glue-down resilient flooring, including accessories and transitions. Work includes cleaning of existing ceramic tile and marble flooring in areas of work. The work includes temporary, phased removal, relocation, on-site storage, and reinstallation of existing furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E). Contractor shall assume all areas are fully furnished, including systems furniture with associated partitions and services, unless noted otherwise, and shall provide all required electrical and data disconnection and reconnection. The work also includes selective base replacement and touch-up to match existing conditions, protection of adjacent finishes, and limited asbestos abatement associated with the work. The work shall be performed in coordination with the Client Agency. The contractor shall comply with all security requirements and restore all disturbed areas to match existing conditions.
