The work involves providing collection, transportation, and delivery for disposal or processing of Solid Waste and Recyclable Materials generated by Residential Units, Residential Unit Equivalents, Township Facilities, and during Special Events. The contractor will offer services to approximately 10,631 households for a 5-year term, with a possible five-year renewal upon mutual agreement. All solid waste must be delivered to landfills designated by the Adams-Clermont Solid Waste District, and all recyclables to a Materials Recovery Facility of the contractor's choosing. Pricing must be a not-to-exceed price per Residential Unit per month, including the cost of billing, collection, and provision of garbage and recycling containers. The price must include all costs such as transportation, delivery, governmental fees, and any tipping fees at the designated facilities. Bids must include curbside recycling collection. A performance bond is required for the successful bidder. Alternate bids may be submitted, but must include curbside recycling collection. All bids must be submitted on the provided bid forms, include all required documentation and one electronic copy. Bids are valid for 75 days after opening. The Township reserves the right to abandon the bid process or reject any or all bids at any time. More detailed instructions are found in the bid documents.
