Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Essa, Ontario. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; bridge / tunnel; water / sewer project; for paving for a road / highway; and sidewalk / parking lot.
This work will involve road reconstruction, concrete works (curb and gutters, sidewalks), storm sewer installations, sanitary sewer, watermain and services, ARV chambers horizontal directional drilling (HDD), dewatering, culvert replacement, retained earth slopes, steel beam guide rail, paved multi-use trail construction and wooden boardwalk supported by concrete footings/foundations. The intersection of County Road 21 and Industrial Park Road/Commerce Gate will be reconstructed to add additional turning lanes and update the existing traffic signals. This Request for Tender (RFT) is the second stage of a two-stage procurement process. The County previously completed Request for Prequalification (RFPQ) No. 2026-010 - General Contractors for the Reconstruction of County Road 21 (Phase 3), through which multiple contractors were evaluated and six (6) prequalified. The contractors awarded through the RFPQ process were Clearway Construction, Dufferin Construction, GIP, KAPP Infrastructure, Limen Group Construction, and North Rock Group. Only these prequalified contractors were invited and are eligible to submit a Tender in response to this RFT.
