Demolition, site work and renovation of a multi-residential development in McAlester, Oklahoma. Completed plans call for the demolition of a multi-residential development.

This project consists of interior demo/rehab due to a fire. (a) The contractor shall bid to furnish the following: labor, licenses, material, and equipment. tools, permits and insurance necessary to complete this as a turnkey project. The MHA is providing the insurance scope of damage as for the scope of this work. (b) The contractor shall bid work hours from 8 am to 5 pm, 5 days week. M-F or Housing Authority of the City of McAlester (MHA) work hours. (c) Bidders can visit the job site and acquaint themselves with the exact nature of work to be performed. Contact Skipton Evans at 918-426-0335 to schedule a site visit. (d) The submission of a bid shall indicate the bidder thoroughly understands the specifications, conditions, and scope of work. (e) The bidder shall be responsible for determining the amount of labor and materials needed to complete this project being bid. (f) All equipment, material, and articles furnished under this contract shall be new and of the most suitable grade for the purpose intended, unless otherwise specifically provided in this contract. (g) Contractor to follow all mechanical, plumbing, and electrical codes of the City of McAlester and have all work completed by licensed trades according to those codes. Contractor is responsible for getting all permits. (h) All work must be performed in a workmanlike manner. The contractor shall bid to install all materials to the Manufacturer's Specifications. (i) Contractors shall always keep the work area clean, including storage areas. Free from accumulation of waste materials. Also, the contractor shall place a Portable/Johnny and post all proper documents for this project. After completing the work and before final inspection, the Contractor shall (1) remove from the premises all scaffolding, equipment, tools, and materials (including rejected materials) that are not the property of the MHA and all rubbish caused by its work; (2) leave the work area in a clean, neat and orderly condition satisfactory to the contracting inspector: (3) perform all specified tests. (j) The contractor shall furnish a one (1) year written warranty to the McAlester Housing Authority on workmanship and materials. (k) The contractor is responsible for removing personal items of the former tenant and disposing of said items. (l) Follow Attachment Q: Scope of work provided by Summit Claims, Randy Carter Demo and rehabilitation of the interior of one apartment of a duplex. Interested parties should contact Skipton Evans at the McAlester Housing Authority for a bid packet. The bid packet can also be downloaded from the mcalesterhousing.com website. The authority reserves the right to reject any and all bids. *The list of planholders and/or interested bidders is not being tracked by the stakeholders involved with this project.
