Site work and paving for a road / highway in New York, New York. Conceptual plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.

The New York City Department of Transportation has announced the second phase of the 31st Avenue Bike Boulevard redesign in Astoria, Queens. This phase will introduce a parking-protected, two-way bicycle lane along 31st Avenue between Steinway Street and 51st Street, extending the existing corridor from Vernon Boulevard toward Woodside. The scope also includes expanded pedestrian space, shorter crossing distances, improved intersection visibility, traffic-calming measures, and a circular traffic diverter at 31st Avenue and 43rd Street. The project is intended to improve safety and connectivity within a Vision Zero Priority Area and to link with existing and planned cycling infrastructure throughout western Queens.
