Sullivan Farm Drive is a residential neighborhood drive off of Salmon Falls Road that was not constructed to current City standards, and has not held up over time. Due to poor quality base materials, coupled with high groundwater and clay subsurface, the roadway has heaved and broken up faster than would be expected. The City has invested heavily in the past to correct some of the poor construction, including a recent $60,000 culvert replacement project. There are 16 homes served by the roadway. The 2021 Pavement Assessment gave Sullivan Farm Drive a Pavement Condition Index (PCI) rating of 36.3, which indicates poor condition. Rehabilitation for this roadway requires removing and replacing base materials as well as pavement, in order to avoid the same issues in the future. Additionally, residents have voiced a number of concerns about the sight distances on Salmon Falls Road, and the presence of groundwater in the roadway at this intersection. DPW maintains the roadway by spot repairing potholes and other larger defects. The project is included in the City's 2027-2032 Capital Improvement Program (CIP).
