The City of Lubbock, Community Development is seeking bids from qualified vendors for a minor rehabilitation to a single family residential home repair/remodel. Location- 5430 35th St Lubbock, TX 79407 Questions Due Date: May 29th 2026, 5:00 PM CDT EXTERIOR DOOR : HOME to GARAGE ENTRY HOMEOWNER IS RESPONSIBLE FOR RE - INSTALL OF SECURITY SYSTEM . HOMEOWNER to SELECT DOOR with ALLOWANCE LISTED BELOW FROM IN -STOCK ITEMS at LOCAL VENDOR . ENTRY HARDWARE STYLE to be BARREL with a SATIN NICKEL FINISH . Remove and replace existing entry door . Install a new 6 -panel primed , fiberglass pre - hung exterior 2 '-8" insulated core door . Contractor is to field measure to ensure proper sizing for the new door . Swing of door to match existing . Install securely , plumb , square and level . (No visible daylight from the interior ). Include a single cylinder deadbolt , entry hardware and door stop (hinge or baseboard ). Hardware , hinge and door stop finish to match . Remove and replace door trim , both sides . Use material of like substance , style and dimension of existing door trim . Scrape , prep , caulk and finish with 2 - coats painting all door trim , interior and exterior . Paint is to be of similar quality to Behr or Glidden . Match paint as closely as possible to existing color . BLOCKING and BLOW - IN Install baffle / blocking with PLYWOOD , TIN , or BATTS around recessed lights , heat flues , around the access and chimneys so insulation does not contact (W / H and attic access ) hot surfaces . Include blocking around attic access so insulation does not fall out . ( NOTE : MINIMUM 3" CLEARANCE and MUST BE SAME HEIGHT AS INSULATION ) BLOWN -IN INSULATION ( FIBERGLASS , CELLULOSE OR COTTON ) Blow - in R -38 , approximately 18 " depth . Use FIBERGLASS OR COTTON blown -in place . Replace all material removed or cut to gain access for the insulation . Repair all holes and cuts to match existing materials
