Description

Mount Penn Borough Municipal Authority is requesting bids for the Oley Turnpike Road Water Main Replacement project (Entech No. 4662.018). The work includes installation of approximately 290 linear feet of 8-inch ductile iron water main, a stream crossing, partial meter vault demolition, fence replacement, and site restoration along Oley Turnpike Road within St. Lawrence Borough, Berks County, PA. All project documents are available via the PennBid Program. A mandatory pre-bid conference will be held. Bids will not be accepted from bidders that do not attend this conference. For all requirements regarding bid submittal, bid security, qualifications, procedures, and contract award, refer to the Instructions to Bidders in the bidding documents. Bidders must submit any questions via the "Messages/Vendor Discussions" feature in PennBid. Attention is called to prevailing minimum wage rates, non-discrimination, compliance with the Public Works Employment Verification Act, and use of U.S.-made steel products. The Authority reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informality. No bidder may withdraw a bid for sixty (60) days after the bid due date, except as otherwise provided by law. If delayed by certain approvals or grants, bids shall remain open for one hundred twenty (120) days after the due date.
