Site work for a water / sewer project in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

Pittsburgh Water is requesting... (document does not provide further visible information on the scope of work or instructions to bidders). Pittsburgh Water's water distribution system consists of three separate supersystems. One of which is the Highland Reservoir No. 2, which supplies water to the Strip District, Downtown, and the Southside Flats by way of two large transmission mains, a 54-in supply main that conveys water directly toward the Southside Flats (known as the Saline Supply Main), and a 50-in transmission main that runs through the Pittsburgh Zoo parking lot and the neighborhood of Morningside before separating into two separate transmission mains on Butler Street that feed directly into the distribution system. This 50-in transmission main was rated the eighth most critical transmission main in the entire system as its failure would have a significant impact on the system. This project will include the leak detection survey and rehabilitation of this transmission main by Carbon Fiber Reinforced Polymer (CFRP) lining and/or partial replacement. There is currently one suspected leak on this main in the area immediately below Highland Reservoir No. 2 in the Pittsburgh Zoo Parking Lot. In addition, there are two additional transmission mains that we are seeking to perform leak detection and limited condition assessment on, in order to guide future rehabilitation projects these mains are: the upper section of the Lanpher Supply Main (60-in main from Lanpher Reservoir to Lincoln Avenue in Millvale), and the Saline Supply Main and River Crossing (50-in main from Highland Reservoir No. 2 to Sidney Street in the Southside Flats neighborhood).
