Location: Intersection of State Trunk Hwy 25 and Cr 113 in Buffalo Township, north of Buffalo. Type of work: Grading, paving (bituminous), roundabout, curb and gutter, bituminous trail, storm sewer, lighting, striping. Length: 2,227.01 ft. Approximate major items of work include: removing bituminous pavement, excavation (subgrade/common), common and select granular embankment, aggregate base (Class 6), various bituminous wearing and non-wear mixes, RC pipe sewer, drainage structures, concrete walk, concrete curb and gutter (various designs), and a lighting system. All project plans, proposal, instruction for bidders, the bid form, and all other requirements are available online. Bidders must log in with a Connex account to download plans. There is no cost to download the bid documents; submitting a bid electronically requires a $25 fee through Bidvault. Minimum wage rates to be paid by contractors have been predetermined and are subject to the Work Hours Act of 1962. Wage scales and Division A of the Special Provisions must be carefully read as they affect the project. Disadvantaged business enterprises will be given maximum opportunity to participate and will not be discriminated against based on race, color, disability, age, sex, or national origin. Equal employment opportunity must be provided per federal and state laws. If a bidder has employed more than 40 full-time employees, a compliance certificate from the Minnesota Department of Human Rights is required to bid.
