The City of Waukegan (the City) is seeking sealed proposals for the men's and women's locker room renovation project at Waukegan Fire Station 1. The project will include a demolition and replacement of the suspended ceiling of the men's and women's locker rooms at Fire Station 1. Other aspects of the project include painting, lighting, minor HVAC, drywall repair, and trim work. There will be no plumbing work. M/WBE's are encouraged to participate in the bid process. Any questions regarding the project can be directed to: The City of Waukegan Fire Department Attn: Battalion Chief Todd Zupec Todd.Zupec@waukeganil.gov The work under this project shall consist of providing all professional evaluation, labor, materials, equipment, and necessary tools required to complete the project, including the removal of existing surfaces and disposal, as well as all permits and licensing required. 1. Demolition of ceiling grid and tiles in both locker rooms. 2. Secure all loose wires above ceiling. 3. Replace with new aluminum 2X2 ceiling grid. 4. Ceiling tiles will be 2X2 moisture resistant. 5. Replace lighting with 2X2 flat panel LED lights to adequately light rooms. 6. Replace shower lights in both locker rooms with 4 total (LED). 7. Paint all walls (ceilings shower area) (except for behind lockers). 8. Install 2 new exhaust fans, 1 each in the shower areas (exhausted to exterior). 9. Repair any drywall in shower areas. 10. Replace HVAC diffusers in ceiling (6). 11. Replace 4 inch vinyl baseboards throughout both locker rooms. 12. Replace exit sign in men's locker room. 13. Provide floor protection and cover lockers prior to start of project. Lockers must remain accessible during non-working hours. 14. Remove and reinstall fire alarm devices (ceiling mount). 15. Removal and disposal of all debris. 16. Provide expected duration to complete project.
