Renovation of a municipal facility in Glen Burnie, Maryland. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.

This project is for services for a kitchen and conference room upgrade. The scope of work includes domestic wall treatments. An overall Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) or Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) subcontract participation goal of ZERO percent of the total contract dollar amount, including all renewal option terms, if any, has been established for this procurement. Question Deadline 05/22/2026 at 12:00 PM ET Scope of Work A. Project overview Remove all existing wallpaper from the designated area approximate room dimension are 30' x 30'x 8' ceilings=960sq') prepare and skim walls to specified finish, prime and paint walls. Contractors will be responsible for providing All materials and labor to replace 960sq' of wallpaper, skim, and Paint. B. Preparation and protection: Move All furniture; Contractor will protect larger immovable items with drop cloths and plastic sheeting. Cover flooring, trim, appliances, and fixtures to prevent damage or paint overspray. Mask windows, doors, light fixtures, and HVAC vents. C. Wallpaper removal Score or otherwise treat the wallpaper as required. Use appropriate solvents/steam and hand/stripper tools to remove wallpaper and backing. Remove residual adhesive using approved removers, clean substrate. Dispose of wallpaper and waste off-site in accordance with regulations. D. Substrate repair & skim coat Inspect drywall/ plaster substrate once wallpaper removed. Repair cracks, holes, delaminated plaster, loose drywall tape. Apply one skim coat of joint compound to achieve a uniform surface. Additional patching coats as required for minor damage included. Significant substrate replacement (extensive plaster removal, replacement of water-damaged drywall) is excluded and will be quoted if found. Sand and feather edges to a smooth finish. E. Priming & painting Apply appropriate primer/sealer (stain-blocking primer as required). Apply two finish coats of paint (manufacturer-standard acrylic latex for interior walls) in Client-selected color(s) and sheen. Trim and doors painted only if included in scope (specify). Paint cut-in and roller finish; touch up hardware and fixtures as required. Remove masking, clean up paint edges, reinstall All electrical covers, hardware bulletin boards, etc.
